Waracle is looking for a talented Python Developer to join our ever-growing team. You will be responsible for expanding our data architecture and building data systems from the ground up.


The Python Developer will be strong in system and architecture thinking, with the ability to take end to end ownership to drive improvements and transformation. You will be an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who is comfortable adding new components and optimising existing components in large data platforms. This role involves working in a highly technical team, supported by our software developers, architects, data analysts and data engineers.


Waracle adopt a remote first ethos, however we have office space available in London, Edinburgh, Glasgow or Dundee if you miss that buzz in the office. This role is a contract position.



  • Strong experience using Python to ingest, transform, and publish large and varied datasets.

  • Solid background working with Data specific libraries such as Pandas, PyMongo, NumPy, Seaborn or similar.

  • Exposure to modern cloud platforms - Azure, AWS or GCP.

  • Strong technical experience and understanding of data processing principles and architectures.

  • Competent communicator, able to liaise with both engineers and stakeholders.

  • Ability to document and diagram all technical implementations.
